Colorado here we come!

WHOO HOO! In less than 24 hours, Terrance, Crysta, lil' Bucket, and I will be in the car headed tward Colorado! UGH, I can't express how great its going to be to see my old home town mountians and family again! This time of year is always a double blessing. This year, however, will be extra appreciated. It will be my last week of complete relaxation before our lives are thrown through a loop. When we come back, we will have less than 4 weeks until our new bundle of joy comes. So this week of campfire, dirt, and scenery is going to be just what the prego lady orderd! I can't wait!
Getting ready is the tough part. We started packing our car last night, crossing our fingers that everything we need to take will fit in our little Altima. Today will be jam packed with cleaning, packing, cleaning, packing, running arronds, cleaning and some more packing! But it will all be worth it. Hope everyone has a great week, and the next blog may be a super long entry! COLORADO HERE WE COME!!!!!

Learning through experience

OK, so I had asked Tawn and Steph if they wanted to go to Michaels then SAMS Club last night. I thought it would be a good excuse for some sista time, and also get stuff for our upcoming camping trip in Colorado. Well we went to Michaels first. I got everything I needed, but when I checked out, I went to right a check, and realized that I was using my last check. DUH, I had even checked earlier that day, and reminded myself to remind myself to grab another book.. Well, I didnt, so I didnt have any more checks, so MY trip to SAMS was wasted. HAHA. However, Tawn let me use her membership card, so I could run up there this morning to get what I needed. I got through the door ok, and all my stuff. I even got through the check out line fine until I handed the lady a check. she noticed that MY name wasnt on the membership card. Well having no other way to pay (no debit or credit card), she said that I couldnt use someone eleses membership card, and write a check. So she had to call a higher up to verify me and give her the OK to let me pass. He took down my information, and for the second time, explained to me why I couldnt use her card without her there, and that it all would have been a lot easier if I were to have used a credit card rather than a check.. Well even though he thought it was ok, he had to make sure and he called over a 3rd person. Again, verified my info, and gave me the lecture as to why I can't use her card without her being present! by this point I think I had appologized MAYBE a million times, and explained that I honeslty didnt know that it wasnt allowed, and that she knew I had her card, and it was all a big misunderstanding, and that it would never happen again. they let me get the stuff I needed, which I was grateful for, since I had driven 30 minuets out of my way for the second time in 2 days. So, just in case you want to go to SAMS without a membership, do 1 of 2 things. Either make sure you have a way to pay when you go with a member the first time, or 2 if you go with someone elses card, bring CASH or a credit card to avoid 3 lectures, a scolding, and the hassle! Funny adventures, only this stuff can happen to me! Im like fly paper for this kind of stuff! But thats what makes my life so intresting! HAPPY WEDNSDAY!

Here are just some pictures of Chris and Ann's visit! It was a lot of fun, and can't wait to see them this weekend!

Baby Shower LOVE!

WOW again! be prepared this one might get a little long. My friends and Family never stop surprising me. This past saturday, July 21st, my friends and family planned a baby shower for me. I knew nothing about it, other than what time to be there and where to show up. When I get there, everyone is in sports related clothing. To find out that the theme was indeed sports. There was BBQ burgers and hot dogs for lunch. YUMMY, and sports decoration everywhere. Tawnifer made the shower cakes, and one was made to look like a baseball mit! Very creative, and very very cute! I almost wanted to preserve it, but what good is a preserved cake, when you are a pregnant lady?
The shower was by invitation only, but there were still more than enough people there. I was surprised by how many showed up. We played a few games, one of my favorites was, everyone had to look at my belly and guess how many squares of toilet paper would go around my tummy once. I didnt hear all the guesses, I think if I did, I may have cried. But the total was 10 sheets. 3 people guessed it right. I later found out that my B-I-L Terrill guess 20 somthing, and my own husband guessed 14 sheets! Thanks guys.
After opening all the gifts, the girls who planned the shower hit me with one more surprise that just put me over the top. They handed me a 100 dollar gift certificate to a really good photography studio for a 2 year membership! This photographer does amazing work, and how it works is, You pay 100 dollars for the first 2 years of your babies life. You call her up whenever you want to get picutres done, and just pay for the copies. After they handed me that, I could no longer hold back the tears. I felt somwhat of a fool to cry, but I was just so over whelmed with appreciation, shock, and HORMONES, that I couldnt help myself!
The shower was perfect. More than I could have ever asked for. We recieved everything we needed, and more. now I just have to get busy and start finding places to put it all. I am just so amazed at the attitude people have here, and the love and fellowship they all share. Never is one searching for someone to be there when help is needed. What a great Family we have in the Lord. I thank God everyday for everything that he has blessed me with, and for directing my path here. AMAZING.
Like I said before, my brother Chris and his finace Ann were able to come visit for an entire week. It was so nice to be able to spend all that time with them. Our visits are few and far between. We had a great time, and they too did more than they should have for us while they were here. They called with good news that they made it back to Colorado safely. I already miss them, and Crysta was getting in the habbit of sleeping in our room, since hers was rented out for the week. But we will be leaving for our Colorado camping trip soon, and will get to see them again. Can't wait. Thank you to everyone who is in our lives! we couldnt ask for a better place to be than this.

Speechless

WOW! Is the only expression that I can come up with to discribe last night, well the entire day actually. It was my birthday, and one of the most memorable EVER! My brother Chris and his finace Ann are visiting for the week, so I thought that to be present enough! I wasnt expecting anything, other than to watch some adorable twins and relax. And I did. However, my wonderful Husband Terrance had something else in mind. He invited everyone over after church last night, without me knowing. Apparantly it wasnt totaly meant to be a secret, but I had no idea until after church was over and person after person walked through our door. AMAZING! I was so thankful that we are surrounded by such awesome friends and family. It wasnt the gifts that brought tears to my eyes, though very unneccisary, but appreciated. It was the fact that I was surrounded by all the people I love and cherish on a special day. Everyone definatly went out of their way, and though it may have seemed small to them, it was a huge night for me. I couldnt believe it. It was a day of emotion for me. Yeah, Yeah, the hormones of my prego times contribute to that, but I just can't express how much the people in my life mean to me. All I could do last night was look at my PILE of gifts, and just shake my head with tears in my eyes, and sit in astonishment. Thank you to all who came last night, and to all who called me, or sent a card. I truly appreciate it. WOW.
On a lighter note, I get to do some shopping!! just kidding. Here are some pictures of all the people who came last night! My wonderful Family, every one! I love you guys!

Two for TWO-sday!

OK, so my S-I-L Tawn, Tawn-ifer as I like to call her.. LOVE HER! Anyway, since my theme these days are to steal her ideas, cause I think she is "just like, oh-so totally rockin'" (in my best valley girl voice) She does 5 for fridays. I think thats awesome. But I thought about it, and since Im a littleweirder than she is, I thought I would do something for everyday of the week. That way atleast I know I will be posting more. So today its two for two-sdays. here goes:

1. Save trips-My brother Chris and his Finace Ann arrived safley yesterday afternoon to spend this whole week with us. They drove through Kansas, which can make anyone fall asleep on the road. Im so glad to see them, and to finally get to spend time with them. Poor chris will get tired of baby and wedding talk, but Terrance will hopefully keep him busy!

2. My Friends and Family- So that may or may not count as 2 seperate things, but the way I see it, my Friends are my family and visa versa. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people here in Jefferson city. I never would have thought my life to be what it is now 5 years ago. God knew what he was doing when he brought me here. I adore everyone here so much. And I have wonderful family in Colorado! I wish I could see them more, but the times I do, I enjoy that much more, since they are few and far between! Amazes me what wondeful people I have in my life!

Great Weekend

As most of you know. Although, Im not really sure who all is reading my blog since it has been for lack of better words.. "BLAH" so far. I promise I will get better. Anyway, most of you know that I gave Terrance tickets to go see the Chicago cubs play at Wrigley Field this past weekend! We were blessed with the company of Terrill, Steph, Matt, and Leslie! We all rode in the same truck, (Thank you Brent), and shared what we THOUGHT was going to be an awesome suite. however, upon arriving, we learned that the suite, which we thought had 1 king, 1 queen bed, and a sleeper sofa, turned out to be 1 king, and 1 queen sleeper sofa. so 2 beds, and 6 people. Interesting, but luckily Terrill had brought his air mattress, and it all worked out. Friday night we all watched t.v., then inevitably crashed from 6 hours of driving after an 8 hour work day for most. Saturday, GAME DAY, was great! The morning started off cool, and cloudy. Windy of course, since it's not named "The Windy City" for nothing. We went to the Mall to kill some time before our 3:00 game. Then we drove downtown. Thought we picked a place to park that was relitivaly close to the field. There was no way we were going to park in the heart of downtown, there isnt a single bumper in Chicago that isnt busted, scuffed, or duct taped on. And since we were driving our Pop's brand new truck, we weren't taking any chances. As we start walking, we realize that we may be going just a little out of the way and stop at a gas station for directions, who tells us to walk, OH, maybe 5-6 blocks up, then (in his words) "A LONG way to the right". So we did. Then stopping at another intersection after about 30-45 minuets of walking, maybe 2 miles later we stop and look at a local map. Which tells us, to walk about another 4 blocks up, then a few to the right. Somehow, we turned left instead of right and walked 2 blocks in the wrong direction, so making a quick turn-a-round,we hustle(in my case a fast waddle) in the other direction. Then all of a sudden, there it is! Wrigley Field! You could almost hear the excitement coming out of Terrance. Somehow after about 3 or 4 miles of walking or waddling in very uncomfortable flip-flops seemed worth it just to see his emotion and reaction. The game was great, Cubs won 9 to 3 aganst the Houston Astros. We sat in the bleachers which has absolutley NO shade what so ever, and absolutley NO leg room. We were all shoulder to shoulder, surrounded by spilling beer, and obnoxious fans who, for some reason thought that the players could hear what they were yelling. None of that phased me, Iwas just enjoying the game, and the look on Terrance's face as he watched the action.
So a few spilled beers on my foot, hurting back side, sun burned cheeks, and 3 hours later, the game was over. and it was time for another LONG waddlle back to the truck. To make a already ridiculously long story shorter, we thought we passed the street twice, when finally a nice, some-what normal woman on her bike offerd to help us. She rode all around the area reporting back to us. Then finally, Maybe noticing the Fat prego just sitting on the nasty sidewalk, told us to not move, stay here, and she would check one more time. She found it, and we were very grateful for her little peddler legs. That truck never seemd so comfortable. Until it was time to get back in it the next morning for a 6 hour drive home.

Getting Started

Ok, so my wonderful sister-in-law told me about this site, and thought it might be something I would be interested in. Since I talk all the time, and I love to write in journals, and extra long informative emails to family and friends around the states, I thought I would give this a shot. It might also save me some typing time. Since this is my first post, I will try to keep it short until I get the jist of the "Blogger world". Terrance and I are expecting our second blessing in September. Crysta, our first blessing is already super excited about our new addition. We put the crib up in her room this weekend, and down sized her full bed to a twin/daybed, and she couldnt be more excited! She is so proud to have a little brother to show off. I also am stoked that my S-I-L Tawn is expecting in January, and I can't wait to have one of my best friends to bumb around with and take care of babies! Im just also really excited for another baby, besides my own to play with. My brother Chris is getting married to a wonderful woman Ann Rudd in June of next year! This past year has been filled with so many blessings.
